Champagne Central at Grand Central Hotel Glasgow launch new menu

Champagne Central at the four star Grand Central Hotel has launched a brand new winter menu, adding extra sparkle to their newly refurbished bar.

The iconic hotspot, overlooking Central Station in the heart of Glasgow’s style mile, has created a sumptuous menu taking you from breakfast to brunch right through to the evening with late night bar snacks.

Making full use of Scotland’s finest ingredients, the new menu – created by award-winning head chef, James Murphy – includes produce from across the country including Ayrshire ham, Katy Rodgers Stirlingshire yogurt and Campbell’s of Broxburn haggis.

Visitors to the newly refurbished Champagne Central will be able to enjoy an extensive all-day menu including popular breakfast items such as crushed avocado and poached egg on sourdough toast and flowerpot muffins. These sit alongside perfect lunch and evening grazing platters and snacks including halloumi fries with tzatziki, Paisley tattie scone nachos with haggis and crème fraiche (pictured) and Muscovy duck sliders with pickled red cabbage and plum sauce.

For a lighter menu option, there is also a brand new snacks selection with delicious warm sun-dried tomato loaf served with Arran smoked beetroot spread and grissini and mini toast with hummus, pate and soured cream and chive dips.

The extremely popular champagne afternoon tea continues to be served with freshly baked scones, delicate sandwiches, mouth-watering cakes and pastries with a glass of Besserat de Bellefon Grande champagne.

Triple chocolate loaf bite, berry butter crumble and granola traybake are just some of the new sweet additions to this seasons menus.

Graeme Gibson, General Manager of Grand Central Hotel, said, “With our remarkable refurbishment we wanted to create an extended new food and drink menu to take the venue up a gear.

“With a delicious selection of breakfast, lunch and evening snacks, as well as, a range of classic and new cocktails, we hope the menu caters for all tastes and ages.

“We are delighted the new menu received such a fantastic initial response and look forward to welcoming customers to enjoy our delicious dishes.”

Champagne Central recently underwent a sparkling makeover, upgrading its décor, creating luxury new seating areas, exclusive booths, beautiful marble tables and an extended bar to cater for its extensive Champagne and gin offering, and a striking new graphic identity.

The original domed ceiling, marble floors and regal pillars have been accentuated by the recent works, enhancing the character and making Champagne Central the perfect blend of a 21st century hotel bar with a nod to its rich heritage.
