White Brasserie Co to open 16th pub next month

The White Brasserie Company is set to open its 16th pub, The Black Horse in Thame, Oxfordshire on the 18th December.

Originally a 16th century coaching inn, the 400 square metre site has been completely refurbished to enhance its original period features including roof beams, wood panelling and stone paving.

The 140-cover space will comprise of a bar, snug, garden room backing onto a courtyard garden with space for another 40-covers, and a brasserie-style dining area – The Coach House - which will have exposed beams, dark oak floors, and giant iron chandeliers to create a comfortable environment with a mix of traditional and contemporary style.

Open seven days a week, the seasonally changing menu will feature a range of classic British pub dishes as well as French brasserie favourites such as guinea fowl coq-au-vin with a medley of root vegetables, and wild mushroom and black truffle risotto. An extensive wine list includes well-priced European and New World wines alongside a range of craft beers and artisan British spirits.

CEO of Brasserie Bar Co, Mark Derry said, “We’re delighted to open our latest White Brasserie Company pub in Thame. Once again, the architect and design team have done a stunning job on a building that was in much need of TLC. This represents another step in our growing portfolio and we look forward to welcoming guests into The Black Horse in December.”
