Wilson Vale has strengthened its operations team with the promotion of Jake Herreros as area manager.
Formerly a chef manager with Wilson Vale at The Beacon School, an independent day school for boys in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, Herreros now takes responsibility for a portfolio of four clients.
Like all of the Wilson Vale’s operations team, Herreros is a highly skilled chef, having started his career in fine dining, working as a commis chef at 16th century The Old Trout Hotel in Thame, Oxfordshire.
He moved up the ranks, working at The Thatch in Thame, Waterstock Golf Club in Oxfordshire and The Angel Restaurant in Long Crendon where he honed his fine dining skills before joining Wilson Vale at The Beacon School in 2013.
Carolyne Vale, co-founder of Wilson Vale, said, “When Jake joined us initially he accepted the challenge of a chef manager’s position. Although he didn’t have previous managerial experience, his craft skills were superb and he has proved to be an able and outstanding manager and a natural mentor who has kept a loyal and motivated brigade with him on his journey. Jake typifies the talent and passion we see day-in, day-out across our business.”
In a business that’s driven by its operational standards, Jake now joins an eleven-strong team of Wilson Vale area managers who support a client-base of 95 clients, mainly within the corporate sector, independent schools and conferencing.
Herreros said, “Wilson Vale’s culture and their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to my development have given me the freedom and opportunity to grow.”
