Paul to open 37th site at £440m Westgate Oxford

Leading French artisan bakery and patisserie, Paul, is set to open its 37th shop at the newly opened Westgate Oxford on 18 December.

As part of the £440m Westgate development, the 123-sq. ft. bakery is the group’s third opening outside of London, and joins the existing Paul café on Oxford High Street.

Open seven days a week, from morning through to early evening, the 52-cover kiosk will offer Paul’s signature range of pastries, artisan baguette sandwiches, salads, patisserie including individual cakes and tartlets, as well as a large range of hot drinks.

Chief Executive of Paul UK, Jean-Michel Orieux, commented, “Our existing site in Oxford is consistently performing well and so we believe it is an ideal location for a second site. It has a wonderful balance of cultural heritage, a well-established local community and vibrant economic and tourist activity which will help the growth of our business.”

Emma Mees, Senior Portfolio Manager at the Westgate Oxford Alliance, said, “We’re delighted to welcome PAUL to Westgate, which offers the very best of British high street and prestigious global brands. PAUL is already well received by Oxford locals and I’m sure that visitors to the Centre will be equally as excited to see it here.”
