Deliveroo launches Treat Yo-Self bakery

Deliveroo has launched the Treat Yo-Self bakery to help customers see off their January diets in style. The food delivery app now expects to see a 62% jump in orders of comfort food as Brits shelve the spiralizers and ditch the juicers at the end of a month of dieting.

The Treat-Yo Self bakery, created to cater for the increased demand for guilty pleasures, will offer Londoners the chance to try premium versions of great British classics at pocket friendly prices.

The new menu, which launches as 150,000 Brits finish Veganuary and taste meat for the first time this year, includes a scrumptious sausage roll, a Wagyu beef steak bake and even a vegetarian option for those sticking to their new year’s resolutions.

The sausage roll is filled with luxurious smoked mangalitza pancetta, apple and sage whilst the steak bake is made with the finest Wagyu beef - one of the most expensive steaks in the world. The menu also contains a step-up from your regular cheese and onion pasty – this one’s stuffed with Baron Bigod cheese, fig and toasted walnuts.

The indulgent bakery menu will be available exclusively via Deliveroo on February 1st. Customers across London will be able to open the app and buy the pastries in a few simple clicks, with orders being delivered in 30 mins by Deliveroo’s riders.

Joe Groves, Head Of Consumer Comms (UK & Ireland) at Deliveroo, said, “Spare a thought for the humble sausage roll, who has felt totally out of place this month. More than 150 000 people signed up for Veganuary this year, and for many of them, 1st of February will be their first taste of meat in 2018. We saw a 62% spike in orders of comfort food this time last year – so we’ve created the Treat Yo-Self bakery to help Deliveroo customers celebrate the end of their diets in style.”

The Treat-Yo Self bakery is now available across London while stocks last. Each baked slice of heaven is priced at £5.
