Fullers reopens revamped Hyde Park pub

Fuller, Smith & Turner, the London brewer and premium pub company, has reopened The Swan, Hyde Park, having been closed for two months.

The inspiration for the pub’s interior is Hyde Park itself. The ground floor is split in to three sections, each with its own park-related theme. The main bar is decorated with posters and photos of iconic live music events that have happened in the park throughout the years, The Cygnet Room behind the bar is nature themed, with framed butterflies and feathers and to the right of the bar is a cosy seating area, themed with pictures of sports and wall-mounted sporting equipment, such as croquet mallets.

The upstairs has been transformed in to a light and spacious room akin to a conservatory, with a large balcony and seating overlooking Hyde Park – the perfect spot for an early evening drink.

Situated in a well-trodden tourist hot-spot, the pub will cater for the needs of visitors to London, serving breakfast every day from 8am and offering a map of London with sites to see and pubs to visit marked out, for guests to take away with them.

Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director of Fuller’s Inns, said, “This pub has had such a transformation, while maintaining some of the original features that gave it such character. The Balcony Bar upstairs is definitely one of the pub’s best features.

'With big windows, green interior and a beautiful big balcony, you feel as if you are sat right in Hyde Park itself – but with the luxury of freshly poured beers, great wine and delicious food. I’m even more excited for the summer, when the pub will start offering picnic hampers so customers can enjoy our delicious food even on the banks of The Serpentine.”
