Ei Managed Investments announces new venture with Old Spot Pub Co

Ei Managed Investments, the Ei Group business which invests alongside industry-leading managed house operators, is delighted to announce the launch of The Old Spot Pub Company.

Partners Dave Ford (Director at Field to Fork) and Bernard O’Neill (Director at Productivity Mentor), both experienced operators, currently run an award-winning pub in Warwick and other restaurants in London.

The first site for The Old Spot Pub Company is The Anchor Inn in Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire (pictured). The pub has recently been refurbished and opened just before Easter. The Kings Head in Little Marlow and the Leopard in Bishops Tachbrook will be added in due course. Simple but memorable design, along with great food and drink, will be at the core of these pubs’ propositions.

Ford said, “We are delighted to be working alongside Ei Managed Investments. The quality of Ei Group’s overall portfolio is very exciting for us, and, combined with our own experience in the sector, we look forward to opening some great new pubs.”

Nathan Wall, Operations Director for Ei Managed Investments, added: “The Old Spot Pub Company is an exciting venture for us. We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Dave and Bernard and harness their unique sector experience for sites both in and out of London.”

The Old Spot Pub Company will be Ei Managed Investments’ 10th Managed Investments partner as the business continues to work with industry-leading managed house operators and benefit from their individual retail capabilities. Other expert partners include Rupert Clevely, with Hippo Inns, Karen Jones, with Frontier Pubs, and Ben Stackhouse, with PubLove.

Managed Investments has grown rapidly since its launch in May 2015 and there are now 43 pubs operating across the 10 different ventures.
