Owner of the Harry Ramsden's brand, Boparan Ventures, is planning to develop local UK fish & chip shop sites under franchise. Despite having to close its 83-year old Harry Ramsden's restaurant in Leeds last month, the group is fixing its site on the 500 to 1,000 sites that could be right for franchising, The firm plans to refurbish its current 35 restaurants and to expand up to 100 sites.
