Chinatown London to launch first National Dim Sum Week


Shaftsbury's Chinatown London is to launch its first ever National Dim Sum Week. Celebrations will kick off on 30 June and last until 6 July.

National Dim Sum Week will give people the chance to try all that this ancient culinary experience has to offer. Bespoke menus on offer throughout the week include an introductory Dim Sum menu with bottomless tea, an express lunch hour tasting menu, and a set menu paired with flowering teas and cocktails.

For the more adventurous, one restaurant will be championing some of the more unusual and unknown Dim Sum dishes such as Phoenix Claws and Century Eggs.

Guests can discover the art of this traditional Cantonese dining experience - from the variety of bite-sized dishes that make up Dim Sum, many of which aren’t well known in the UK, to the history, ritual and etiquette behind the loved food tradition.
