Levy UK celebrates sporting success

It’s been a busy two weeks for Levy UK as the group's been celebrating a string of award wins. Colleagues across the business scooped eight accolades over the past fortnight.

Congratulations to Allan Blackmore, Culinary Director, Sport, Confex and Arenas at Levy UK, who took home the prestigious Banqueting & Event Chef Award at the Craft Guild of Chef Awards. Seen as the Oscars of the culinary industry, Blackmore was recognised for his work in the development and growth of the sports and leisure market through sound management and a great culinary presence.

Blackmore, pictured with his award, said, “A lot of effort goes in to ensuring we offer our customers the very best catering and hospitality experiences across our portfolio, so our hard work and achievements being acknowledged in this way is really fantastic.”

Huge congratulations also go to the team at Aston Villa who took home a bronze award at the Sports Business Awards for Best Operations Team of the Year. Furthermore, the Aston Villa team went onto win bronze in the Non-Match day Mystery Shopper Award, and well done to Max Hayward who took home a silver Shining Star Award at the coveted Stadium Experience Awards.

The team at Chelsea Football Club walked away with a well-deserved silver accolade for Best Stadium Events Venue and was the standout winner of Visiting Directors Award for Football at the Stadium Experience Awards.

The Stadium Experience Awards was also a great evening for the team at Madejski Stadium who scooped a silver in the Visiting Directors Rugby Award for the London Irish Rugby Club and a bronze in the Chef Team of the Year for Reading Football Club.
