Blythswood Square serves up Wimbledon Afternoon Tea


The Principal Blythswood Square Hotel, Glasgow has launched a package to help celebrate the return of the world’s greatest tennis tournament in style, offering a classic twist on the afternoon tea.

Guests can get into the swing of Wimbledon and indulge in a sumptious afternoon tea while sipping on a refreshing Pimms or glass of champagne.

Executive head chef Zoltan Szabo has created a special afternoon tea with tennis inspired cakes and biscuits, traditional scones and dainty sandwiches. The tea includes lilac elderflower macaron with the Wimbledon logo, strawberry & Pimms tart, lemon meringue cone, and pistachio & polenta cake.

This is served with a selection of tea, preserves and clotted cream in The Salon, overlooking the peaceful gardens of Blythswood Square.

The iconic five star Blythswood Square Hotel offers 112 bedrooms including a number of suites and a spectacular redesigned penthouse. It offers a restaurant, the Salon, private dining rooms and private film screening room, along with delicious food, fizz, cocktails.

The Wimbledon package is available from now until Sunday 15 July and starts at £24 per person.
