Central England Co-op encourages shoppers to try vegan food

Veganuary is proving to be more popular than ever and Central England Co-op has a range of delicious products available as it encourages shoppers to ‘try something vegan this January’.

January always brings a focus on being more healthy, such as ‘Dry January’; however in recent years there has been a growing trend of people taking on diets which exclude one or more types of food.

While vegetarianism is a well-established trend there has been a marked increase in people following a vegan diet; the number of people identifying as vegan and following a totally plant-based diet is up by over 400% in the past 10 years1 and Veganuary is proving a particular hit with record numbers signing up to take part in 2019.

Central England Co-op’s own market research reveals that more and more people are becoming aware of the vegan lifestyle with many consciously reducing their levels of meat.
