Rosa’s Thai Cafe plans more sites beyond London


The 15-strong Thai restaurant chain, Rosa’s Thai Café is planning to expand its footprint beyond the London area following the successful launch of its latest eatery in Bluewater, Kent (pictured).

The company is aiming to open between five and eight sites a year, with the first of these set to launch at Albert Docks, Liverpool.

Rosa's latest financial report, to the year to 31 March 2018, saw the chain open four new restaurant, with a further three launches since the end of the period.

For the period, the firm showed sales of £11.8m, up from £8.2m, with pre-tax profits decreasing from £722,498 to £705,375, and EBITDA was £1.6m, up from £1.4m

Founders Alex and Saiphin Moore, who started off the brand from a London food stall in 2006, are still involved in the business following private equity firm, TriSpan acquiring a majority stake in June 2018.
