Award-winning chilled and frozen prepared meal manufacturer, Anglia Crown has strengthened their commercial team by appointing Mary Wedge as business development manager.
Wedge will be responsible for overseeing one of Anglia Crown’s long-standing accounts, whilst also focusing on the future business development of the company.
Wedge commented, “I’m so excited to take on the role of business development manager at Anglia Crown. I am pleased to be a part of a team dedicated to bringing fresh new ideas and innovations to foodservice in healthcare and complementary market sectors.
With many years of working within the foodservice industry, I’m looking forward to using my knowledge and experience for this role.”
Wedge has a broad public sector background, previously working with Essex County Council and ISS. She has extended knowledge of community meals, and care, education and healthcare markets. Her knowledge of foodservice is influenced by her involvement with organisations such as the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), where she was national secretary and deputy chair. Mary also organised and led many events for the NACC.
Wedge will report directly to Anglia Crown’s director and co-owner, Paul Howell, who added, “We’re delighted to have Mary join us and with her experienced portfolio in the public sector, we are confident she will have a positive impact at Anglia Crown.”
The company offers a range of multi and single portion dishes to customers and patients, and is owned independently by joint directors Paul Howell and Andrew Lone following a management buyout last year.
