MOD Pizza site in Leicester Square for sale

Fast casual pizza restaurant chain, MOD Pizza has appointed Savills to market the leasehold interest of its Leicester Square site on 17-18 Irving Street, London.

This is the only central London site held by MOD Pizza, that opened in December 2016, leaving one London outlet in Romford.

The prime restaurant based in the heart of the bustling Leicester Square district extends to 8,161 sq ft (758 sq m) over ground, basement and four upper floors. The whole property is held on a lease expiring in October 2032.

Alongside the 5,007 sq ft (465 sq m) restaurant there are six one bedroom apartments on the second, third and fourth floors that provide additional income.

Stuart Stares in the licensed leisure team at Savills, commented, “The MOD Pizza on Leicester Square offers a rare opportunity to acquire a prime restaurant premises in London’s West End, near to several high profile tourist attractions.

'The fact that the lease covers the entire property, with additional income from the accommodation, makes this a highly attractive prospect for operators so we anticipate receiving strong interest.”

Founded in Seattle, Washington, in 2008, MOD has over 400 locations in the US, and there are 9 sites in the UK.
