Vinegar Yard to launch gin bar & craft beer emporium

Vinegar Yard, London Bridge’s new premier outdoor drinking, eating and shopping space, is launching the Tanqueray Terrace gin bar and a brand new craft beer emporium, the Courtyard Bar, to sit alongside its impressive lineup of street food traders and independent retailers.

The Tanqueray Terrace, housed inside a beautiful pergola garden draped in greenery and flowers, will serve a punchy menu comprising four seasonal Tanqueray gin-based cocktails and six botanical spritz’s.

Vinegar Yard will celebrate the launch the Tanqueray Terrace next Wednesday 3 July, with 2-4-1 on select serves at the Tanqueray Terrace all day.

Also coming to Vinegar Yard this July is the Courtyard Bar with Meantime Brewery, a craft beer emporium which will host up to 200 people. Offering craft beers from Meantime Brewery in Greenwich, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, alongside lines from local breweries situated along on the ‘Bermondsey Beer Mile’, the Courtyard Bar will be the ideal starting, or indeed end-point for those attempting the famous mile. The Courtyard Bar will also be available to hire for private events.

The new bars will sit alongside Vinegar Yard’s very own ‘high street’ of unique vintage and artisanal retailers.

Also coming to Vinegar Yard is Secret Nicky’s, the pioneering and super Instagram-friendly American-style frozen custard, bringing its sweet summer treats and late night desserts to Vinegar Yard this July, housed in a retro ice cream van.

Secret Nicky’s is bringing deep south America to London, being the first in the UK to solely specialise in frozen custard. Toppings include Peanut Butter and Honeycomb made with American-style frozen vanilla custard blitzed with hot peanut butter cookie and honeycomb caramel, and Spiced Apple Pie.

Having launched this month, Vinegar Yard has fast become one of London’s biggest and most exciting al fresco destinations to visit this summer; providing sun-soaked seating for up to 500 across its grass-lined eating and drinking garden, the yard serves up a varied menu of food from the heroes of the capital’s street food scene.
