Chiquito launches vegan menu today


The UK’s largest Mexican chain from The Restaurant Group, Chiquito is launching a vegan menu today, with four starters, five main dishes and three desserts.

Starter dishes include Vegan Nachos - tortilla chips topped with guacamole, Pico de Gallo salsa, vegan cheese and Oatly crème fraiche, Banana Blossom Croquette - banana blossom has a meaty texture - and the croquettes come with a side salad and Oatly crème fraiche.

Main plates highlights are Vegaritto - a burrito with soya protein, jalapeño slaw, rice a& greens wrapped in a spinach tortilla, and comes with a side salad, tortilla chips and Oatly crème fraiche, Jackfruit Baja Tacos - smokey jackfruit chili, topped with Violife cheddar, guacamole and salsa, and Banana Blossom Burger - banana blossom burger patty topped with jalapeño slaw, greens and Violife cream cheese in a sourdough bun with salad and cassava fries.

For sweet treats, there's Churros with Chocolate Sauce - melted vegan chocolate sauce and warm churros, and Chocolate Coconut Lava Cake - warm lava cake served with coconut ice cream or passion fruit sorbet.
