As Caterlyst reported last week, Sainsbury’s is teaming up with Deliveroo in a trial across a number of areas to bring freshly baked sourdough pizzas straight from the supermarket counter to customers’ homes.
Following that news, speculation is rising around another partnership the supermarket chain may be eyeing with Uber Eats, with early talls underway, according to The Telegraph.
The Sainsbury’s tie-up with Uber Eats would see customers offered a small, basic grocery delivery service.
An Uber Eats spokesman said, “We’re in conversations with a number of the supermarkets around Europe.”
