Deliveroo expands service to more UK towns

Deliveroo is to expanding its food delivery service to more towns across England this month, moving its offer beyond its main city focus.

The company is to set up delivery hubs in Weybridge, Surrey, the Wiltshire town of Trowbridge, Bognor Regis, Sussex and Crewe in Cheshire.

Harrison Foster, Deliveroo’s UK Regional Director, said, 'We’ve seen a huge demand for Deliveroo in these towns and we’re excited to be launching next month.

'We’re really excited to be creating new work opportunities for local people. The team is looking for people with passion, drive and great customer service, who are seeking the added benefit of flexible hours amongst other perks.'

London-based Deliveroo, which was found in 2013, has 17,000 restaurants signed up to the service in the UK.

The group announced in October that sales rose by £200m in 2018. The food delivery platform was named Europe's second-fastest growing company by the Financial Times, and was the first to top Deloitte's UK Fast 50 two years in a row.
