Nisa adds new learning event to trade show agenda

The three-month countdown to Nisa’s annual exhibition and gala dinner on 24-25 March is now on with just 12 weeks until the doors open.

More than two-thirds of exhibitor stands have now been sold at the two-day exhibition and tickets for the infamous themed gala dinner are also selling fast.

Meanwhile, for the first time, the event is offering attendees a new opportunity with ‘Category Talks’ added to the agenda to support Nisa partners in growing their businesses.

The short workshops, hosted by heads of category from the Co-op commercial team, will include presentations sharing the latest insights, market and shopper trends in Beers, Wines and Spirits and Food to Go categories.

Events manager at Nisa, Jenny Potts said, “The Category Talks are new for 2020 and are designed to help Nisa partners increase cash profit in key trading categories and will include ranging and merchandising recommendations.”

The talks will be held in the main exhibition hall and are bookable via the Nisa Expo registration site.

Potts added, “Last year was our biggest and best exhibition to date and we are hoping to once again exceed expectations as we look ahead and plan for the future with our independent retailers and suppliers.

“The addition of the Category Talks will offer our independent retailers a useful opportunity to take even more away from our exhibition and back to their own businesses.”

Attendees will also have chance to taste new Co-op own brand products, including innovative products from the new plant-based brand ‘GRO’ that are being launched into Nisa and Co-op stores from January.
