Costa launches new limited edition menu

Costa Coffee, for the tenth consecutive year, is stepping into spring with the launch of its new limited-edition menu for this month. The line-up includes a flurry of newcomers alongside much-loved returning favourites, all landing in stores nationwide from today, Thursday 5 March.

As the first major UK branded chain to roll out the iconic Flat White across its stores nationwide in 2010, Costa Coffee is to celebrate ten years of its iconic, signature coffee, with even more variations on offer.

Designed for the coffee purists, the Costa Coffee Flat Family now features the velvety smooth Flat White, Oat Flat White, Coconut Flat White and the returning Flat Black, a more intense black coffee.

Using the purest coffee extraction method to capture three short espresso shots – just the first 10ml (Cortissimo). The fan favourite Flat Black brings out the sweet kernel of the coffee bean to make that morning brew extra special. Coffee lovers can also upgrade to a rich and bright Colombian Character Roast for an extra 25p to add subtle fruits, sweet caramel and a smooth honey taste.

March sees an exciting new addition to Costa Coffee’s alternative milk offering, with Alpro Oat2. The latest dairy alternative adds a hint of creaminess and rich, honeyed taste of oats to any hand-crafted coffee or hot chocolate on the menu. Customers now have a choice of whole, semi-skimmed, skimmed milk or Alpro Soya free of charge. Alternative2 options are available for an extra 45p, including; Arla Lactofree milk, Alpro Almond, Alpro Coconut and Alpro Oat.

The new Hot Chocolate Trio will see Costa Coffee’s signature Hot Chocolate, fan-favourite White Hot Chocolate and trend-setting Ruby Cocoa Hot Chocolate feature on menus nationwide.

The newest addition to the team, the Ruby Cocoa Hot Chocolate has been setting Instagram feeds alight this year. Made using a rare ruby cocoa bean, which gives the drink its fabulous pink hue, fans have been swooning over this iconic hot chocolate.

The new Salted Caramel Brownie makes its debut on menus nationwide, with the combination of dark chocolate, salted caramel and milk chocolate chunks. The limited-edition Belgian Bun is a soft, chewy dough bun containing a lemon filling and juicy sultanas and is finished with white icing and topped with a cherry.

The lunch menu features new flavours to savour, including the Cumberland Sausage & Caramelised Onion Toastie, New York Deli Pastrami & Emmental Toastie3 and the new Three Cheese & Chutney Toastie.

Eric Tavoukdjian, Commercial Marketing Director, said, “Being awarded the Nation’s Favourite Coffee Shop for the tenth-year running is an amazing accolade, but we simply couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our customers.

'We’re passionate about putting customer experience at the heart of what we do, so this spring, we’re thrilled to introduce a limited-edition menu to excite and delight. We’re happy to bring back some amazing returning favourites as well as introducing new and exciting innovations, including our new limited-edition Chocolate & Caramel muffin made with Rolo® and Flat Black – too delicious to miss!.'
