Deliveroo partners with BP and Marks & Spencer

Deliveroo has today announced a new partnership with BP and Marks & Spencer which will enable customers to order a range of M&S Food.

This will be available for delivery via the Deliveroo app. This is a significant move to help make sure isolated people at home have access to household essentials.

The new partnership will be run through 120 M&S franchise stores located at BP petrol stations. A selected range of approximately 60 M&S products will be available to order on Deliveroo and delivered straight to people’s homes within 30 minutes.

To help families and communities during this difficult time, delivery of the products and other convenience goods from BP’s M&S Franchise stores will be completely free of charge.

The M&S range available on Deliveroo will comprise items such as milk, bread and juices, as well as easy meal options such as pizza and ready-prepared meals.

Examples include: M&S 100% Orange Juice Smooth 1L, M&S 12' Stone Baked Cheese & Tomato Pizza, M&S 4 Pint Semi Skimmed Milk, M&S Super Seed Loaf 800g, M&S Chilli & Rice Meal.

To help those in isolation and in need of essential household items, Deliveroo will also roll-out ‘Essentials by Deliveroo’, a new range of convenience items to ensure people who are at home, especially the elderly and vulnerable, can receive the items they increasingly
need. ‘Essentials by Deliveroo’ will include cereal, pasta, rice, sweets and biscuits, soft drinks and juices, tinned and canned goods.

This went live in Cambridge on Wednesday and will be rolled-out across Reading, Brighton, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds and London over the next two weeks. This is a global programme that will be introduced in UAE, France, Spain and Australia as well.

Deliveroo and Co-op also recently announced a new nationwide partnership. There are now nearly 400 Co-op stores on Deliveroo across the UK, meaning families at home can access household items 7 days a week in under 30 minutes.

Will Shu, founder and CEO of Deliveroo, said, “At Deliveroo, we want to do everything possible to help people get the food they want and need during this worrying period. We hope we can play a role in supporting people who have to isolate to get the food they need whether that’s household items or restaurant food.”
