Call Suzy to pop up at BAO Fitzrovia next week

Call Suzy, the new Chinese delivery edition from BAO will pop up at BAO Fitzrovia’s outdoor terrace for four days next week, with a specially created cocktail menu from House of Suntory.

From Monday 24 - Wednesday 26 August, Call Suzy will open from 5pm, and on Monday 31 August, from midday. For its entirety, the Call Suzy pop-up will be taking part in the government’s Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. Tables are available to book and walk-ins are welcomed.

Since July, Call Suzy has been offering Londoners a playful, nostalgic twist on a traditional Chinese takeout, with a menu featuring contemporary versions of the dishes founders Shing Tat Chung, Wai Ting Chung and Erchen Chang grew up eating. For brother and sister Shing and Wai Ting, the concept is a particularly nostalgic one, after growing up above their parent’s own Chinese restaurant in Nottingham, The Golden Crown.

Dishes available on the BAO Fitzrovia terrace pop-up will include the Prawn BAO Toasts with Mentaiko Sour Cream, the sweet and punchy Sanbei Chicken Wings, a playful take on fried chicken with a basil ranch sauce, and Beef Cheek in Black Bean Bone Marrow Gravy. Fans of BAO can also get their fix with the Sweet and Sour Taiwanese Fried Chicken with 4 piece Parker BAO.

House of Suntory have specially created three cocktails to run alongside the menu, with one highlight including the Sour Plum G&T, featuring the aromatic Roku Gin.
