RBH donates Xmas meals for homeless

A leading hotel management and services company has pledged its support to Social Bite’s Festival of Kindness campaign.

RBH has donated 92 Christmas meals for the homeless to the social enterprise’s festive drive on behalf of 92 team members usually based in its Glasgow and London offices – but now working remotely.

The company has supported the homeless throughout the pandemic, providing accommodation in its hotels across the UK throughout lockdown.

Martin MacPhail, Director of Human Resources at RBH, said, “It’s been a tough year in general, but even more so for the thousands of families and homeless people who continue to fall through the gaps in terms of support and end up struggling.

“We’ve supported our own staff throughout the pandemic as well as providing accommodation for the homeless via our hotels throughout lockdown, so we wanted to do what we could to support Social Bite’s Festival of Kindness in helping the homeless within our very own city, by donating a warm Christmas meal on behalf of all 92 members of our team.

“We continuously focus on ways to give back our local communities and this year has highlighted just how important charitable giving and community spirit is. We’re proud to do what we can – even in the smallest of ways.”

Sara Rees, Head of Partnerships at Social Bite, said, “We’d like to thank the team at RBH Hospitality Management for taking part in the Festival of Kindness. Those experiencing homelessness and families living in poverty need our help now, more than ever before.

'This contribution of Christmas meals will make such a difference to so many vulnerable people this season and throughout the winter months. We are so grateful for this generous support.”
