Pret reopens indoor seating from today

Pret is today bringing back indoor seating in all open shops as restrictions in England and Wales ease. Customers will be able to use outdoor and now indoor seating on a walk-in basis.

Pret has 389 shops in the UK and from today, there are 366 shops open for dine-in, takeaway and delivery. The menu items available will also vary by shop for the time being.

The safety and wellbeing of staff and customers remains a priority, and since last spring all guidance issued by the Government has been carefully followed.

Pret has conducted a full review of its safety processes and believe it has strong protocols in place to ensure outlets can operate safely.

Specific steps that we are taking to protect customers and those working in our shops include:
> Ensuring all employees and customers visiting Pret wear face coverings, unless exempt, or eating at a table, in line with the current Government guidance.
> Protective Perspex screens fitted to the till counter.
> Restricted customer flow into shops, with the number of people allowed inside at any one time.
> Provision of Hand Sanitiser Gel to be available to customers as well as Team Members.
> Safety ‘refreshers’ for Team Members: COVID safety rules are currently in place in staff rooms to ensure Teams are reminded daily. The latest guidance is also shared regularly with Team Members to ensure they remain front of mind.
> NHS Test and Trace: It is mandatory for all customers over the age of 16 to provide their details when eating in our indoor and outdoor seating areas. QR codes are displayed prominently on entrance to the shop.
> Eating indoors: We will not allow for groups of more than 6 per table for indoor dining and tables and chairs will be sanitised after every use.
