South London's sourdough pizza and craft beer masters, Four Hundred Rabbits is to launch a brand-new flagship pizzeria, bar, gelateria and coffee shop, at Elephant Park, next to Elephant & Castle station, on Friday 28 May.
The new site, which will offer 54 seats inside and a further 26 outside on the terrace, will be the first restaurant to open inside the ‘Park Central East’ area of the much-anticipated Elephant Park development.
Guests can expect the same delicious 'London Sourdough' pizza which has made Four Hundred Rabbits a South London institution. These include:
The Chorizo One - San Marzano DOP tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, soft and semi-cured Brindisa Iberico chorizo, pickled red chillies & fresh basil
The Clean One - the vegan choice with San Marzano DOP tomato, courgette, piquillo peppers, pine nuts & chimichurri
The Rhubarb One - famous house signature with San Marzano DOP tomato, fior di latte mozzarella, chipotle rolled goats cheese, piquillo peppers, rhubarb & basil.
Plus rolling monthly seasonal specials (Elephant & Castle will open with the current new season asparagus specials), with ad-hoc guest pizza collabs from a host of London’s most exciting food operators (previous collabs have included plant-based chef Chantelle Nicholson, Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen and Korean street food heroes, On The Bab).
Served alongside its famous ‘London sourdough’ pizza will be craft beer from breweries such as Lost & Grounded, Gipsy Hill and Deya; Negronis on-tap (still the cheapest in London at £4 each); and a Four Hundred Rabbits’ first - ‘hutch-made’ gelato in a rainbow of flavours including roasted pistachio, rhubarberry sorbet (a rhubarb & strawberry mix) and vegan coconut, all made in-house.
Four Hundred Rabbits at Elephant Park will open at 5pm on 28 May, with a soft launch weekender deal offering 50% off pizza all weekend until last orders on Sunday 30 May. Walk-ins only.
Founded by ex-DJ brothers Daniel and Duncan Edwards back in 2015, Four Hundred Rabbits currently has neighbourhood pizza restaurants in Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood and the recent takeover of The Lido Cafe in Brockwell Park, Herne Hill.
The new Elephant Park flagship site will be the fifth and biggest launch so far for the entrepreneurial, pizza-loving duo.
