Pret A Manger launches Click & Collect trial today in Manchester

Pret A Manger is launching Click & Collect trial, making it easier than ever for Mancunians to order their freshly made favourite Pret items in advance for collection at a time of their choosing.

From today, 2 June, eight of Pret’s eleven Manchester shops will be offering this new service, so that customers can visit the Pret website and order ahead, before picking up their items in-shop. This follows a surge of Pret Coffee Subscription sign ups in Manchester, and a successful initial trial of Click & Collect in the Pret shop in Media City, Manchester.

Unique to the trial, subscribers to Pret’s new coffee subscription can now also order all five of their hot, iced or blended Barista-made drinks for collection throughout the day at a time that works for them.

Similar to online ordering through third party delivery partners, a 50p Click & Collect Fee charge will be applied to any transaction.

The growth of Click & Collect services across Pret’s portfolio continues to enhance its digital offering for customers.

Since May 2020, Pret has been transforming its business model to bring Pret to more people in different ways. This includes launching the UK’s first High Street Coffee Subscription service, allowing customers the chance to redeem up to five Barista-prepared drinks per day for £20 a month, as well as expanding delivery partnerships with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.

Pret also recently launched a range of frozen croissants available from Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores as well as four granola ranges available at Tesco stores. Alongside this Pret have also launched a retail coffee range available at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Amazon and Ocado.

Dan Burdett, Chief Customer and Growth Officer at Pret A Manger, said, “It’s been amazing to join Pret at such a time of transformation, as we work to evolve the ways customers can enjoy our freshly made food and organic coffee, making it easier for them to shop with us on their terms.

'The brand has always prided itself on serving our customers great quality food and drink, with a smile, and fast, so the evolution of Click and Collect in our shops estate is an example of how we’re working to digitise the things that make Pret, Pret.

'And I am thrilled we are able to make an already seemingly too good to be true offer even better, with the integration of our Coffee Subscription into Click and Collect, meaning our customers now have an even easier way to claim their five hot, iced or blended drinks a day.”
