New finance director for expandig WatchHouse


Coffee shop group and coffee brand, WatchHouse has today announced that Paula Sandeman has joined the company as Finance Director.

Sandeman is an accomplished Finance Director, with over 20 years’ experience within start-up environments as well as a variety of luxury retail brands, such as Burberry, KidZania and Gaucho & M restaurants.

She has a detailed knowledge of the coffee industry having spent 6 years working at Starbucks where she led the accounting team through rapid UK and global expansion.

Sandeman has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of accounting practices having been CPA qualified from Melbourne Racing Club Australia. Working in start-up environments, she has worked across all aspects of financial and accountancy planning and implementation including setting up finance teams, processes and procedures, as well as financial models from scratch.

With acute commercial acumen, she has successfully implemented major business transformations including securing capital funding for development and expansion and is very much looking forward to joining WatchHouse as they expand their portfolio.

Founded by Roland Horne, WatchHouse began in a former 19th century watch house at the end of Bermondsey Street in 2014 and has since opened seven Houses within central London.

Underpinning them all is a belief in Modern Coffee; encompassing industry-leading specialty coffee, authentic homemade food, community-focused service and beautifully designed spaces, each inspired by their locations.
