Kerb celebrates decade of trailblazing London street food with party & competitions

It’s Kerb’s 10th birthday and to celebrate a decade of food-fuelled fun, the team are creating limited edition KerbLaboration dishes with past and present vendors at Seven Dials Market, hosting a one-off blow out party, and putting on extra special competitions to thank Kerb’s biggest fans.

To kick off the celebrations, tomorrow - Friday 14 October - Kerb will be throwing a big birthday bash at Seven Dials Market, Covent Garden, for which tickets have been handed to 50 lucky winners to attend.

From 17 October, Kerb will be sharing out their birthday gifts, with 10 incredible prizes for each of their 10 years of success to be won. Prizes include one of two private tours of East London Liquor Co.’s distillery (five people per tour with a £150 bar tab) ; Dinner and cocktails for two at a Bao London location of your choice; even a pizza feast and booze for four at Pizza Pilgrims and many more.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over and the competition will close on 27 October; competition details can be found here.

To top it all off, fans need to keep their eyes peeled for an extra-special competition launching 31 October – all they need to do is find the Golden Banana hidden at one of KERB’s locations.

Some of their much loved Kerbanists from the past 10 years have teamed up with current Kerb members to celebrate the milestone - creating a menu of special KERBlaborations. The dishes on offer truly demonstrate KERB’s ongoing mission to seek out some of the most exciting street food talent and bring them together in one place for Londoners to enjoy.

From this Saturday. 15 October. and running for one week only (or until they sell out), Yum Bun and Deeney’s have teamed up to create the playful ‘Hamish MacBao’ which is a Haggis and molten cheddar croquette served with caramelised onion, crispy bacon & watercress, in a bao bun.

Also on the menu will be ‘New York’s Finest’ from Bad Boy Pizza Society and Oh My Dog - two American classics blended together. New York-style pizza topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, OMD bockwurst, beef vienna sausage, NY dog cart style onion sauce, diced pickles, sauerkraut, crispy fried onions and spicy brown mustard drizzle – with an everything bagel crust. Served with a honey mustard mayo dip, plus pickle and sauerkraut.

For those with a sweet tooth, Chai Guys and Wheelcake Island have created ‘Chai the Wheelcake’ A Chai flavoured wheelcake with cinnamon sugar dust and ice cream. It wouldn’t be a birthday party without a birthday cake, so Soft Serve Society took it upon themselves to conjure up a special offering named ‘This Sh** is Bananas’ - a Funfetti Birthday Cake accompanied with Banana Soft Serve.

October will see Seven Dials Market taken over by limited edition, irresistible dishes and competition fun for their birthday month. A true tribute to ten years of KERB making London taste great, the collaborations promise to bring London a distinctive street food experience that won’t be forgotten.
