Roadchef praised for customer satisfaction in national motorway service survey

Roadchef, one of the nation’s leading motorway service area (MSA) operators has been praised for its customer satisfaction levels in the national Transport Focus survey released today.

The study, which was conducted across 119 MSAs, placed Roadchef first of the top three largest MSA operators by revenue for overall customer satisfaction, with the company achieving a score of 94%, ahead of competitors Moto and Welcome Break.

The company’s Strensham North site on the M5 was the best performing of all Roadchef service areas for visitor satisfaction, with 99% of its customers either very satisfied or satisfied with their experience. When it comes to recommending Roadchef to others making a similar journey, the company also scored highly, with well over half (57%) likely to recommend Roadchef sites.

The survey also looked at visitor satisfaction with the toilet facilities across all MSA operators. 93% of Roadchef customers stated that they were satisfied with the toilets, with Roadchef placed joint first with Extra for toilet satisfaction.

CEO Mark Fox commented, “Overall, we are pleased with the results of the Transport Focus survey. It is good to hear that in general, our customers are very satisfied with the service that we provide and would recommend us to their friends and family.

'Over the last few years, we have invested a lot in improving the facilities at our sites – particularly the toilets and catering offerings – so it’s great to see that these developments are paying off.

“Of course, there is always room for improvement, and we are continually looking for new ways that we can innovate and improve our sites so that we can consistently provide the top-quality service that our customers have come to expect from us.”
