Luke Johnson joins Harbour & Jones board


Harbour & Jones, the boutique contract caterer has appointed serial entrepreneur Luke Johnson to join its board of directors.

Johnson, who set up the Strada brand restaurants and also owns a majority stake in foodservice operator the Genuine Dining Co, is widely credited for the vast growth of Pizza Express. He is also part-owner and chairman at Patisserie Valerie, Gail’s Artisan Bakery and Feng Sushi and chairman of Risk Capital Partners.

Harbour & Jones has experienced a positive year so far, reporting a 30% rise in turnover year-on-year at the end of 2012. They also finished last year with a major contract win worth £1.2m with Orange Business Services at its Berkshire head office.

This year has seen the caterer secure a five-year deal with with department store operator Selfridge & Company for dining to more than 7,000 employees in Birmingham, Manchester Trafford Centre and London stores.
