Ryan Giggs & Gary Neville launch new hospitality company

Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville have launched a new hospitality business called GG Hospitality which holds a football theme throughout. The duo has launched both Café Football and Hotel Football and has now announced ambitious plans to grow the brands both in the UK and abroad.

Café Food is set to open its first site, a 160-cover restaurant, in Westfield Stratford in November, while a 139-bedroom Hotel Football will open in Manchester in the autumn of next year.

Managing Director for GG Hospitality is Stuart Procter, former manager of London’s Stafford hotel, he has said however that both Giggs and Neville have played a big part in the development of both brands.

With Giggs and Neville being the two main shareholders for the company, investment has also come from friends and fellow football players as well as Singaporean businessmen Kiam Ho and Andy Yun. Both have had experience in real estate and food and beverage brands in Asia and therefore join Giggs and Neville on the board of Directors.

It was announced that Hotel Football, which will have a five-a-side football pitch on its roof, will cost £20m to develop and it is now in talks with owners of a number of major hotel brands to operate properties on their behalf on a management or franchise basis.

The hotel will be aimed at the three-to-four star market with room rates between £80 and £150. Meanwhile, average spend in the 120-seat Café Football, with additional al fresco seating for 40, will be £16 per head for two courses.
