Aberdeen Airport to welcome £30m hotel complex


Aberdeen Airport is set to welcome a new £30m hotel complex after constructors Dominvs Hospitality acquired the site for their plans to expand in key UK cities.

With work set to start during the first quarter next year, plans include the construction of a a three-star and a four-star hotel, with 251 bedrooms in total. It is thought the new hotels will be built over a two year period.

The acquisition of the site in Aberdeen is the sixth purchase by Dominvs Hospitality since its inception in 2012.

Aberdeen Airport expects passenger traffic to hit five million people by 2040 and an additional 1,100 jobs are expected to be created by 2030.

More than £10m has been invested into the airport in recent years with a further £5m earmarked to be spent in 2014/2015.
