Restaurant Associates partners with Michelin-starred chef to open new restaurant

Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur, Jason Atherton (pictured) has partnered with the dining division of Compass, Restaurant Associates, to open a new restaurant, City Social, on the 24th floor of the iconic Tower 42 in the city of London.

Atherton will be taking over the site, which was previously occupied by celebrity Chef Gary Rhodes’ Rhodes 24, until his contract ended with Compass in September 2013. The venue is set to open in May.

Atherton is working closely with Head Chef Paul Walsh, previously sous Chef at Gordon Ramsey's Royal Hospital Road restaurant, to design a creative menu for City Social – the restaurant’s working title until a name is confirmed. They have also had the interior space redesigned with a contemporary art deco feel.

Andy Harris, Managing Director of Restaurant Associates, said, 'We’ve worked closely with the Tower for many years and the launch of City Social is the perfect next step for this partnership. The magnificent views that this London landmark has to offer, combined with Jason’s international culinary experience is sure to delight diners.'
