England Rugy Union team returns to Pennyhill Park hotel

England's Rugby Football Union (RFU) team has made a welcome return to the five-star Pennyhill Park Hotel in Bagshot, Surrey.

The hotel, complete with its own recently resurfaced rugby pitch, is now the official training base for the senior team for the next 10 years. The RFU is building a state-of-the-art indoor training facility alongside the pitch.

The England team first made use of the facilities at the hotel in the build up to the triumphant Rugby World Cup 2003 and they returned to Pennyhill in 2008.

Pennyhill Park is a country retreat located just 40 minutes from Twickenham with 123 rooms, a 45,000 sq ft Spa and two award-winning restaurants including the Michelin starred Latymer.

Managing Director Danny Pecorelli said, “We were delighted to welcome the England rugby team back to Pennyhill Park Hotel. With the benefit of five-star facilities they are sending a clear message that they are committed to providing the very best foundation on which to build a successful winning formula.”
