Primeur to open in Islington


From David Gingell and Jeremie Cometto-Lingenheim comes a new restaurant, Primeur situated on Petherton Road in London's Islington.

The restaurant is over two floors with the ground floor made up of communal tables and a dining counter sitting a total of 40 guests. There's also a private dining room in the cellars which can host 14 diners.

The main menu will offer: duck rillette with pickled cucumber; sea bass & seaweed tartare; roast turbot, chicken wings; fish stew; rump steak with snails & garlic.

There will also be a weekend brunch menu offering dishes such as Fried duck egg, brown shrimp & sea beet; Ricotta pancakes, bacon & maple syrup, and Roast cod, ham hock & parsley.

The food will be sourced by some of the best food suppliers & growers around the UK. They will also be working with neighbouring allotment growers taking in fruits and vegetables grown in the area.

Cometto-Lingenheim has worked for Jackson & Frank Boxer, Gabriel Pryce, Will Ricker, Keith McNally and for the Wright Brothers, which is where he met David who was their executive Head Chef. Gingell has worked for the Wolseley, St.Alban, The Orrery, Gavin Bistrot Deluxe, L’Escargot, and Bistrotheque & Shrimpy’s.
