Aparthotel operators, Signature Living, looks set to secure planning approval to convert Millennium House in the centre of Liverpool into a Bill Shankly-themed hotel.
Millennium House, at one time the offices of the Liverpool Echo, were converted into council offices in the 1990s.
The £15m Bill Shankly-themed hotel will feature 61 bedrooms, a restaurant, 22 serviced apartments as well as office space. The existing gym and leisure facility will be retained and moved to the ground and first floor.
It is estimated that the scheme will create over 60 jobs during the construction period, and a further 100 jobs once the conversion is complete and the building fully occupied.
