Chartwells awarded Yardleys School contract


Yardleys School in Birmingham has awarded education specialist, Chartwells its catering services contract.

The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering and vending services within the school, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements.

Chartwells is expected to source all fresh produce on a local basis, especially fresh meat which has the requirement of being HMC halah in nature.

The projected cost of catering for the current year is £140k. The contract commenced on 1 August and concludes at the end of July in 2017.

Yardleys School is a Co-Ed Community School with 926 pupils ranging from 11-16 years old. The school has got a pupil to teacher ratio of 12.8.
