According to the Sunday Times, Jurys Inn is set to consider various strategic options in the new year. These include a sale - the firm is valued at around £700m, or a merger with a rival hotel company, or the securing of fresh backing from a new investor.
The Dublin-based hotel operator has hired Credit Suisse and property specialist Eastdil Secured to advise on these options.
Jurys Inn currently operates runs 31 hotels, which have performed strongly since the firm underwent financial restructuring less than two years ago, and is on course to deliver record sales and profits this year.
The hotel chain has invested in refurbishing bedrooms, adding meeting spaces and revamping food and drink operations, and introducing Costa coffee shops.
