Bad Egg opens in Moorgate

Neil Rankin, executive chef at wood barbecue restaurant, The Smokehouse in Islington, has just opened Bad Egg, an all-day diner specialising in egg dishes.

The 65-seater restaurant, situated on the ground floor of CityPoint in Moorgate, features an international menu of dishes like North African baked eggs, Malaysian egg sambal (with galangal, dried shrimp and chilli), and Chilaquiles - Mexican fried tortilla, with green salsa and peppers.

There is also Rankin's take on the traditional English breakfast, as well as eggy burgers, fried pork ribs, plus lots of Asian slaws and salads, but there are no desserts.
