Starwood acquires two Scottish Town House Collection hotels

Starwood Capital Group has acquired two Town House Collection hotels, the five-star 100-bedroom Blythswood Square hotel in Glasgow (pictured) and four-star, 49-bedroom The Bonham in Edinburgh.

The Town House Collection, which was founded by Scottish hotelier Peter Taylor in 1989, employs 270 staff across the two properties and generated revenues of around £12 million in its last financial year.

Starwood Capital said this latest acquisition adds to its existing Scottish hotel portfolio which includes the George and Roxburghe hotels in Edinburgh and the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

The The Town House Collection acquisition takes Starwood Capital's UK hotel portfolio to 53 owned and leased hotels.
