Leading US global private investment firm, Starwood Capital Group is putting 19 of its UK hotel portfolio up for sale.
It is suggested that the hotels could be converted for alternative use, possibly into retirement homes or residential properties.
Starwood bought Glasgow's only luxury five-star property, Blythswood Square, and an award-winning, boutique hotel in Edinburgh, The Bonham, in January.
