Giggs & Neville to convert Manchester former stock exchange building into boutique hotel

Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville have been given the go-ahead to convert Manchester's former stock exchange building into a boutique hotel.

This latest venture will not be football-themed. The Grade II-listed Norfolk Street site will feature 35 beds, a basement gym and spa, roof-top private members’ terrace and ground floor restaurant and bar.

The two former Manchester United players bought the landmark building for £1.5m two years ago. In 2004, the former stock exchange had been valued at £4.7m.

Giggs and Neville open their first hotel, Hotel Football, next to Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium on 2 March.
