Daniel Thwaites has opened a Preston pub, formerly known as The Welcome Tavern, following £500k refurbishment works after coming under new management.
The pub, which is to be renamed The Hunters, has been taken over by Fayre Table in a joint investment venture. This is the fourth successful partnership between the brewer and the pub and restaurant company.
As part of the redevelopment project, the pub has been substantially extended and modernised throughout, which includes a new state-of-the-art kitchen that more than triples the size of the previous facilities.
The brand new menu designed features classic pub fayre and ‘tapitizers’ - tapas starters that can also be eaten as main meal. There is a brand new cocktail menu and the bar stocks Thwaites’ favourites Wainwrights & Lancaster Bomber.
