The Wright Brothers to open fourth seafood restaurant


Seafood specialists The Wright Brothers, who operate 3 restaurants, a fishery and wholesale business, is to open a new restaurant at the end of November at Old Spitalfields Market in London.

The new venue will have room for 72 diners and will serve a wide range of seafood and oysters which diners will be able to hand pick from tanks in the restaurant. The oysters, of which The Wright Brother are famous for, will be soured from its very own fishery- the Duchy Oyster Farm- in Cornwall, possibly sourced the same day.

In addition to the dining room, there will also be a 20-seat bar specialising in gin cocktails, with a wide range of wines, ciders, craft ales and prosecco also on offer. The cocktails will aim to match the seafood offer

Head chef at the restaurant will be David Cook, formerly of Moro, Bocco di Lupo and 40 Maltby Street, and general manager will be Richard Seldon, previously of La Bodega Negra.

The Wright Brothers, which is headed by Ben Wright and Robin Hancock, was founded in 2003 and operates other sites-Oyster and Porter House at Borough Market, the Soho Oyster House and the Ferryboat Inn in Cornwall.
