French hotel group Accor has appointed Karelle Lamouche as chief executive for its premium, midscale, and economy brands in Europe and North Africa.
In her new role, she will direct Accor’s activities across a region encompassing over 3,000 properties in more than 40 countries—around 40% of the company’s worldwide network.
Its portfolio includes Pullman, Mövenpick, Swissôtel, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, Tribe, Ibis, and Greet.
Since joining Accor in 1998, Lamouche has devoted nearly 30 years to the group, progressing through multiple hotel-level roles, including that of general manager.
She later moved into global marketing and commercial leadership positions and most recently was COO for Europe and North Africa.
Lamouche said: “I’m hugely excited to be leading the business across this region, boosting our presence in fantastic emerging destinations and bringing new energy and visitors to established ones.”
Accor operates more than 5,700 hotels and resorts across 110 countries, along with 10,000 bars and restaurants, wellness facilities, and flexible workspaces.
The group said it expects global revenue per available room (RevPAR) to increase by 3% to 4% this year and has raised its profit outlook accordingly.
In the UK, both London and the regions recorded a RevPAR increase in the third quarter of 2025, supported by stronger leisure and corporate event demand.
In October, the group said it was exploring a potential public listing for Ennismore, the lifestyle hospitality company behind the Gleneagles and Hoxton brands, in which it acquired a majority stake four years ago.
In July, Accor CEO Sébastien Bazin told investors that Ennismore “needs to shine better and grow faster.”
