MSG Group is planning for the Amerciacn better-burger restaurant brand, Smashburger to set up shop in Bath's city centre.
An application has been submitted to the local authority which would see Krispy Kreme and Jessops moved out of SouthGate Street.
Smashburger is set to launch in the UK in Milton Keynes' Kingston shopping centre this month. Brighton’s North Street is also set to be one of the first homes for the brand, as the firm looks to open 35 restaurants across the UK.
Owning more than 120 UK Domino’s sites, MSG Group brings extensive restaurant management and operations experience to the table and will be funding the growth of the Smashburger UK operation.
Smashburger in the UK is led by Tim Lowther, MSG Group managing director, who has 30 years experience in the burger and fast casual industry. He most recently introduced Shake Shack and Five Guys in the UK.
