Ivy Collection to open largest restaurant this year in November

The Ivy Collection has revealed the opening date for a new Asian restaurant and bar and a roof garden in Spinningfields, Manchester on Tuesday November 27.

The 535-cover site will be the company's largest restaurant to open in the UK this year.

The venue will include a ground floor Ivy brasserie, serving modern British dishes with a European slant such as truffled orzo, lobster linguine and slow-cooked lamb shoulder.

The second floor will be home to the first The Ivy Asian, a bar and restaurant serving Asian-inspired cocktails alongside dishes such as wagyu beef with truffle sauce, salmon teriyaki, and avocado with crispy tofu, lime and ginger.

The opulent space will feature a green semi-precious stone floor, an antique gold mirrored bar and a gilded ceiling, as well as a private dining space, The Geisha Room, which will be available to hire for groups of up to 20 guests.

A second private dining space, The Dalton Room, will occupy the first floor, while the top floor will house an all-weather roof garden, with a fully retractable roof and fire pits, where guests can enjoy food and cocktails all year round.

Sean Burbidge, the executive chef, will head up the kitchen and has created the menus, and Kate Cooper will be the general manager.

Baton Berisha, director of operations for the Ivy Collection, said, “We are incredibly excited to bring the Ivy Collection to Manchester this winter.

'Situated within the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester’s luxury dining and shopping quarter, we can’t wait to showcase our different floors, dining concepts and offerings. They’ll be something for everyone and we hope to bring something new to the city.”
