Mitie's Gather & Gather has launched its first themed eatery, inspired by the 90's hit TV show, Friends, in Primark Manchester.
Gather & Gather has opened the cafe in partnership with Warner Bros in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the famed TV show.
Situated on the ground floor of Market Street‘s Primark, the Central Perk Cafe serves up a New York-inspired menu, including waffles, pretzels, pancakes, bagels, and doughnuts, as well as sandwiches and salads.
Cups of filter coffee are available from only 99p, as well as iced coffees, teas, soft drinks. These can be enjoyed with classic American treats such as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Hershey’s bars.
Cakes are provided by local Preston-based supplier Sweet Ideas and include rainbow cakes, flapjacks, and salted caramel and Victoria sponge muffins.
The cafe features the famous sofa, along with bare brick walls and a wooden counter just like Gunther’s.
Gather & Gather's Managing Director, Allister Richards, said, “We’re delighted to have teamed up with Primark and Warner Bros to bring the Central Perk Cafe to Manchester. As our first themed cafe, it’s a real treat to immerse shoppers in their very own Friends experience.
“We’re proud that Primark share our passion for sustainability and are delighted to be using compostable cups and ethically sourced ingredients.”
Tim Kelly, Primark's director of new business development, commented, 'We are hugely excited to be bringing the first branded Central Perk Café in fashion retail in the UK to the British high street. Customers can relax and have fun there whilst also enjoying our amazing fashion at amazing prices in our Manchester store.'
