Brewhouse & Kitchen to launch new brewtel concept in 2020

Brewhouse & Kitchen has announced plans to create a new concept, 'brewtel', which will add bedrooms to the pub estate.

With plans to open 10 new bedrooms within the Worthing brewpub currently in development, and a further 17 in their already established Chester brewpub. The new year will see the 22 strong brewpub group look at adding a total of 72 bedrooms across their UK sites.

As the popularity of immersive experiences continues Brewhouse & Kitchen will focus on immersive experiences in their hospitality outlets.

The experience arm of the B&K business has seen its Academy covers increasing by 19.9% year on year thanks to their diverse range of experiences, including beer & gin Masterclass, Beer & Food pairing events and brewery experience days.

Brewhouse & Kitchen’s new brewtel concept allows those who love craft beer to not only drink and dine in their favourite brewpub but to completely immerse themselves in the whole brewpub experience. Guests will be able to brew some of Brewhouse & Kitchen’s signature beers as well as stay in one of the hotel rooms available from the start of the new year.

Chief Executive Kris Gumbrell (pictured right with co-founder Simon Bunn) commented, “This is a really exciting time for Brewhouse & Kitchen. We have experienced tremendous growth across the experience arm of our business, and it is exciting to see the next stage of our expansion into other areas to create the ultimate brewpub experience for all our customers.

'We are always keen to respond to our guests and their demands and as the immersive experience industry is continuing to grow, this is a logical step for the business to take as we continue to grow in the 2020’s. We are looking forward to watching both Brewhouse & Kitchen flourish as well as the craft beer and hospitality industry as a whole.”
